The Trend Plot tool allows for the short term monitoring of up to sixteen data points at sample rates anywhere from ten seconds to sixty minutes. This information is very useful in obtaining a real time graphic analysis of a dynamic system, allowing for improvements in operating efficiency.

Multiple independent Trend Plots can be run on a single operator workstation at the same time. Report tools include a tabular report as well as a charting tool to plot the data in graphical format. Additionally, the data can be exported graphically, as text, or in popular file formats such as XML or Microsoft Excel.

Auto Trend data is collected by the Device and is displayed when the View Data button is clicked for a point that supports automatic trending. This shows the samples along with their time stamps and status information (Out of Service, Overridden, Fault, Alarm). The Plot tab shows a graph of the value vs. time.
