Time-of-day schedules in the INFO-SCAN system are stored as lists of things to do along with the time each function is to be implemented.

The items to be grouped together in a sequence is entirely the operator's decision.

While the system may contain many sequences at one time, only certain ones are active on any given day. The operator establishes for each sequence which days it is to be active. Day of week activation provides separate control for each of the seven days of the week plus an eighth day for holidays. Holidays are defined up to a year in advance.

Time-of-day tasks that control field equipment are normally resident in and executed by the field panels. This off-loads the server and allows operation to continue without communication between the server and field panels. Other time-of-day tasks, such as making data base changes or issuing reports are executed by the server.
